Join the Aegis Consortium on Thursday, May 26, 1-5 p.m. at the Health Sciences Innovation Building for presentations by health ecosystems subject matter experts and breakout discussions, with opportunities to discuss themes and avenues of collaboration and influence available beyond the workshop.
The health ecosystems project aims to develop a dynamic data-driven simulation model using real-time variables with publicly available information and hospital and public health data to predict the need for scalable expanded hospital capacity during an infectious public health crisis.
The model will learn from experience and will be able to simulate the impact of a change in variables like community behavior or hospital responses such as cancelling elective surgeries, expanded ICU or alternate staffing models.
The simulation can be developed into unique digital platforms for early surveillance monitoring within communities to inform healthcare, community leaders, policymakers and EMS systems.
