Biography
Dr. Miller specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. His research focuses on ophthalmic optics and the effect of refractive error on visual development. He is the principal investigator of a project sponsored by the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Miller received his training in ophthalmology at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Miller joined The University Physicians in 1991 and holds joint appointments in the College of Optical Sciences and the College of Public Health at the University of Arizona. Dr. Miller is a member of the hospital staff of University Medical Center, Tucson Medical Center, University Physicians Healthcare Hospital at Kino, and St. Joseph's Hospital. He is a staff member of Children's Clinics of Rehabilitative Services and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic, and is a volunteer consultant to the Indian Health Service Sells Service Unit. Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Miller also has appointments as Professor in the Colleges of Optical Sciences and Public Health.
