Maeve Wallace

Dr. Maeve Wallace is an epidemiologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Health Promotion Sciences at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Her research focuses on the ways in which social contexts, societal structures, and state policies influence maternal health, safety, and well-being in the US. Her goal is to generate scientific evidence that can be used to guide policy decisions to promote health before, during, and after pregnancy, for all women, their families, and their communities. She works in collaboration with multidisciplinary researchers, public health practitioners in government and non-profit sectors, and advocates to enhance the relevance and utility of her research for taking action at local, state, and national levels.

Dr. Wallace began her faculty career at Tulane University where she was Associate Director of the Mary Amelia Center for Women’s Health Equity Research. She has an MPH and PhD in Epidemiology from Tulane University and completed her post-doctoral training in the Epidemiology Branch of the Division of Intramural Population Health Research at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
