CAMO Testing on Air Filter Materials

Preventing exposure to airborne pathogens requires multiple methods. We are testing the application of Cysteic Acid Metal Oxide (CAMO) applied to surgical masks and HVAC filters to capture aerosolized viruses. Preliminary results indicate increased virus capture when CAMO is applied to material compared to the untreated material. Results are important for reducing the spread of airborne pathogens between individuals and in buildings.
