Community Advisory Board Members Featured in 'Tucson Lifestyle'

The University of Arizona’s Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health Community Advisory Board members Lisa M. Hopper and Lupita Murillo are both featured in the January issue of Tucson Lifestyle magazine.

Tucson Lifestyle profiles Lisa M. Hopper, CEO and founder of World Care, a global humanitarian aid organization she started in her garage in 1994. Hopper is the iauthor of the new book In the Wake of a Dream, about the founding of World Care, which to date has collected and redirected more than 25 million pounds of resources valued at over $35 million dollars to aid in humanitarian efforts worldwide. "Recycling and Reusing for Humanity First," is the foundation of the Tucson-based non-profit.

For the fourth year in a row, readers of Tucson Lifestyle magazine have voted Lupita Murillo “Best TV Reporter”. Murillo joined the KVOA News 4 team in 1978 as a general assignment reporter, specializing in crime reporting. She also hosts the weekly talk show “Impact.” 

Lupita has earned significant recognition for her work over the years, including awards from the Arizona Press Club, United Press International, the Associated Press, and many community organizations. She's also been recognized nationally by the American Women in Radio and Television.
