Public health undergraduate students rally for a group photo after competing in a fitness scavenger hunt that included; blood pressure taking, body mass index (BMI) readings, squats, pushups, sit-ups, a stair climb, slack-line balancing and a few other wellness activities.
"The goal was to experience the core components of physical fitness to include muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, cardiorespiratory fitness and body composition," said Course Instructor Deanna Lewis, PA-C, MBA. Lewis is also a doctoral candidate in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona.
The students got to enjoy a morning of experiential learning in the capable hands of Patrick Sims, a fitness coordinator at Campus Health and master of public health student at the Zuckerman College of Public Health.
