The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is committed to serving the public health educational needs of the State of Arizona and beyond. We offer the following distance learning programs:

Online MPH - Arizona Online Campus

With concentrations in Applied Epidemiology, Health Promotion, and Health Services Administration, our 100% online Master of Public Health is designed to prepare you to make a broader impact in your community and around the globe in the public health arena.

Through a blend of groundbreaking research, theory and a real-world view of today’s public health issues, our program provides an education that is being applied across geographical and cultural borders to promote a healthy, happier society. Our world-class faculty of public health leaders helps create a dynamic online learning experience built on direct interaction, collaborative discourse and integrative thinking.

MPH in Public Health Practice - Phoenix-Based Program

The Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to develop the public health skills needed to work in a variety of governmental and non-governmental settings including the local, county and state departments of health, the Indian Health Service, Medicaid and Medicare programs, hospitals, and community health centers.

Students in this program take the 5 core MPH courses online, while the concentration-level courses are take at our downtown campus in Phoenix (pictured above).

MPH in Health Services Administration - On Campus in Phoenix & Tucson

The Master of Public Health in Health Services Administration is an accredited interdisciplinary College-wide program that prepares students to develop the skills needed to work in a variety of health related organizations such as health systems, health agencies, third party payers and/or health care supply chain organizations in both governmental and non-governmental settings. The accredited program is geared toward students who are excited to enroll in courses that utilize a combination of on line and classroom style teaching modalities.

Graduate Certificate in Public Health - Online

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is a distance-learning program at the Zuckerman College of Public Health that offers working professionals fexible and convenient options for advancing their public health training. Coursework is made up of the 5 core MPH courses, which can be completed online or in person. If a student later applies and is admitted to the MPH program, all 5 courses count towards the degree.

Global Health and Development Certificate - Online

The Graduate Certificate in Global Health and Development is one of the flagship education programs of the Global Health Institute at the Zuckerman College of Public Health. Designed for professionals and those entering the field of global health, this online program is a flexible and academically rigorous option for those who wish to balance coursework and career, while maintaining an environment of utmost academic rigor. The course meets the need for skill enhancement for both foreign and domestic individuals who have limited time to pursue a campus-based full degree program.

Health Administration Certificate - On Campus in Tucson & Phoenix

The Graduate Certificate in Health Administration offers Tucson or Phoenix-based working health professionals and graduate students a flexible and convenient option for advancing their health administration training. Upon completion of the certificate program, students will have knowledge and skills in the following areas: strategic planning, budgeting and finance, health care economics and policy, and advanced health care services administration.
