The 6th Annual Social Justice Symposium is a day-long student-run event to engage faculty, students, community members, and health professionals in dialogue to cultivate awareness and encourage action in the pursuit of equal justice for all people in every aspect of our society.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Preston Reynolds, Professor of Medicine at University of Virginia College of Medicine whose research has been devoted to race discrimination within healthcare and medical education.
Closing Speaker: Kathe Padilla, a local Tucson activist for more than 60 years whose work includes assisting people from South America to find safe refuge in the United States and Canada.
Sign-in at Drachman Hall at 8:30 a.m. Keynote Speaker begins at 9:00 a.m. in DuVal Auditorium at the UA Medical Center.
