Arizona State Rural health Webinar Series

A webinar series focused on providing technical assistance to rural stakeholders to disseminate research findings, policy updates, best-practices and other rural health issues to statewide rural partners and stakeholders throughout the state.

  • Identify methods for sustainability using an open ended planning process.

Martha Moore-Monroy, MA, is the Rural Programs Manager at the Arizona State Office of Rural Health. In addition, Ms. Moore-Monroy is the REACH Program Director, a lecturer at The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, and an adjunct faculty member at Prescott College. The primary focus of her professional career has been population health, women’s health, community health worker interventions, and the development of coalitions dedicated to the elimination of health disparities facing underserved populations.

Agnes Attakai, MPA, a member of the Dine (Navajo) Nation, was raised on both the Dine homelands in Arizona and the urban California suburbs. She currently works as the Director of Health Disparities Outreach and Prevention Education for the Center for Health Equality at The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Attakai has a bachelor’s degree in political science and American Indian studies and a Master of Public Administration degree from the UA with a focus on health policy. She has received additional training through the National Cancer Institute Native Researcher Cancer Control Training Program and the Woodrow Wilson Summer Institutes Fellowship in Public Policy and International Affairs at the University of California, Berkeley, and Georgetown University.
