Shannon N. Zenk, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN is Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She will be making a presentation entitled:  Why we should care about neighborhoods: Illustrations from obesity research.  Major goals of Dr. Zenk’s research are to advance science about social determinants of obesity and related behaviors (diet, physical activity) and identify effective policy and environmental approaches to eliminate obesity and related disparities.
