Office of the Associate Dean of Community Engagement and Outreach
The Office of the Associate Dean of Community Engagement and Outreach created a Contact Tracing Program, a series of seven training modules providing health departments, colleges, and community organizations with a more comprehensive understanding of COVID-19 prevention methods, contract tracing, implementation, and the social and political ramifications of the pandemic.
MPH students Aiman Arif and Tanner Mihesuah, partnered with public health faculty to develop training modules rooted in faulty expertise. Seven modules were created on the topics. 1) Contact Tracing 2) Economics of COVID-19 3) COVID-19 Epidemiology 4) Incident Command System at UArizona 5) Interviewing Techniques, 6) Medical Electronic Disease Surveillance Intelligence System, and 7) Politics of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Student Ambassador Training
In August 2020, the MEZCOPH Office of Community Engagement and Outreach, hosted an orientation training called the Student Ambassador Model: Crushing COVID-19 Through Peer Education. The training provided an overview of the student ambassador model for health promotion and how the model works on a college campus to promote healthy behaviors and slow the spread of COVID-19.
The training was promoted to student affair leadership at both the Phoenix and Tucson UArizona campuses. Student affair staff and faculty were invited and encouraged to invite student leaders from their respective colleges to attend the training. Over 80 people attended the live online training.
The recorded training is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jT-enwFigg&feature=youtu.be
