    Before entering the program:

Prior to enrolling in the MPH program, I studied at South Dakota State University, where I earned bachelor degrees in Spanish and Human Biology, along with a minor in Chemistry.

Why did you choose public health?

My goal has always been to become a healthcare provider. However, through becoming involved in healthcare, I recognized the significant impact that public health has on patient outcomes and community well-being. With a background in public health and health services administration, I plan on pursuing roles in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical leadership as a provider.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

I chose MEZCOPH due to the personalized approach to learning. The faculty are incredible and go above and beyond to connect students with opportunities that align with their specific goals and interests.

    Public health interests:

Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Healthcare Quality and Safety, Abuse Recognition and Prevention

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

If I am not in class, you can find me spending time with friends, running, or exploring one of the many Tucson hiking spots!

    Tip for future students:

Say "yes" to every opportunity that you can! You never know what knowledge, experience, or connection you will gain by pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and becoming involved.
